So said Arnie on the steps of California's gubernatorial building this morning, a plea to Pesci to step up to the mark and don the loin cloth.Great news though - publicity shots leaked by a Pesci confident hit the net this morning, suggesting that the man may be on board.
Even more encouraging the necklace worn is his own! The gnomish hardman apparently received it as a tribute from Illinois based fan Larry Baldini, impressed by the frenetic charm of Leo Getz.
"Only Joe could have played Leo. Now I want him as Conan. He'd just eat it up." raved an enthusiastic Baldini. "When I heard he might wear the necklace I started welling up. I can't wait for the film."

I think its very plausible career move for Mr. Pesci. But I have also come across another rumour that suggests the producers of the original Conan film and the Lord of the rings have got together to have Pesci to play a Conan style hard core hobbit in the new Prequel to the lord of the rings film (due for release in 2009). I believe he already has the big hairy feet required for the rule.
